It mentions the name SPURDLE,  I dropped on your site by accident, being in England and I&#039;m not to sure were to look for any leads it was great to see a name I knew,and saw the  a few of my  Spurdle relatives ended up in New Zealand.

At this point, the Te Aroha News is a 4 times a month publication, so it will take me a while to get to 1893.  But I do intend to keep on going.  This is a particularly interesting newspaper, with lots of local information and commentary, unlike some of the others that I have been going through.  You certainly get a feeling for life in this period through reading these.

If he was advertising, there is probably a fair chance of his name popping up again in the local papers in the news sections as well.
